Aside from being a huge clutz who has a ton of personal experience with personal injuries, I’ve also considered educating myself in this arena to be a pastime of mine. For as long as I can remember I’ve always had an interest in preventing injuries in all different kinds of areas. Now, you might be thinking I’m some kind of weirdo but I promise you I’m not! It’s rooter in my good natured intentions. I remember when I was a child I would see someone get hurt and my first immediate reaction was to wonder how it could have been prevented.
In my teens I began looking into sport injury prevention because I thought I would make a career out of that. While that never came to fruition it became so deeply ingrained in me that I began exploring other areas of injury prevention. I’ve spent an embarrassing amount of time looking into injury prevention in all kinds of different situations from sports to premises liabilities, to living a healthy lifestyle and avoiding potentially harmful situations.
One conclusion I have come to, is that unfortunately injuries aren’t always preventable. For that reason I will also include some research into various scenarios on what to do if you’ve already suffered an injury. I hope this becomes a resource that other enthusiasts and like minded individuals can look to, but also the general public in times of need.
